I am saddened to learn the news of Marlene's passing. She touched my heart from the time I first met her, through Karen while we were in Elementary School, and continued through my adult years. We are heartbroken to hear that Marlene passed away. She was part of our family for over 25 years (a second mom to us and adopted grandma to our kids). She was always there for us whenever we needed her, often at a moment's notice. We have so many great memories with her and she will be missed beyond belief. She was an amazing woman. We will never forget her wisdom, humor, and incredible patience. We are sending all of our love and prayers to her family. She was incredibly proud of you all. There is no word or words that can fully express our sadness at Marlene's passing. There is an empty feeling inside that says we have lost someone very special. We are very proud and grateful that we knew the woman and that we shared so many joyous occasions at the Century Club. If, perchance, she is listening to us and is feeling our loss, we proudly say: "Marlene, your work is complete. You've been loved and have loved.
