Obituary of Scott W. Stuart
Scott W. "Lucky" Stuart, age 66, of Gloversville, passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2022 at his residence in Gloversville.
He was born May 10, 1956, in Gloversville, the son of the late Seymour Sr. and Rosella (Whitman) Stuart. He loved music and was well-known as an original member of the Lexington band "Flame". He enjoyed traveling the country and meeting several country music stars. He sang solo country songs and was a back-up singer and played the bongo drums. He enjoyed his AM radio stations on his transistor radio, especially New York Yankee Games. He loved talking on his CB Radio and his handle was "Brown Dog". A real comedian, Lucky was a great conversationalist and enjoyed being with people. He was a wiz at trivia games and loved to watch game shows on TV. A highlight of his life included visiting the Grand Ole Opry.
Lucky is survived by his two siblings, Pamela Rose (Michael) and Seymour Stuart Jr. (Colleen); an uncle, Richard "Earl" Stewart (Rose), as well as several nieces and nephews; and the many great people in his Lexington family.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by siblings Steven Stuart, Jeanette Whitman and Brenda Stuart.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 11 am to 1 pm Thursday, August 18th at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St, Gloversville, where a Funeral Service will follow at 1 pm with the Rev. William Brower officiating. Lucky's family requests that comfortable everyday clothing be worn. If you have a Flame T-shirt, please feel free to wear it.
Interment will follow at Ferndale Cemetery, Johnstown.
