Obituary of Anthony P. Viola

Anthony P. "Tony" Viola, age 70, of Gloversville, died Sunday evening, July 17, 2022 at St. Mary's Hospital, Amsterdam.

He was born February 15, 1952 in Gloversville, the cherished son of the late Tony and Mary (Musella) Viola. He was a graduate of Gloversville High School and Rochester Institute of Technology. Anthony’s career began at N.A. Taylor Co./Taylor Made of Gloversville and he was later employed as an Account Purchasing Agent by Spray Nine Corp. of Johnstown. He was an avid Yankees fan and enjoyed listening to music, cooking, eating calamari and entertaining his best friends at his home.

Anthony is survived by a sister, Diane M. Bartlett of Moon Township, PA; a niece, Cara Bartlett; as well as many special aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 3:00 to 5:30 pm Thursday, July 21st at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St, Gloversville, where a Prayer Service will follow at 5:30 with the Rev. Matthew Wetsel officiating.

Because of Anthony’s great love for dogs, memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the Fulton County Regional SPCA.
