Obituary of Joanne M. Snell

Ms. Joanne M. Francisco Snell, 59, of Schenectady, NY died peacefully on Sunday, June 26, 2022 following a brief illness.  Born in Amsterdam, NY on April 30, 1963 she was the daughter of the late Charles “Chuck” Francisco and Antoinette “Toni” ZiemianskiFrancisco.  

A lifelong area resident, Joanne was a 1981 graduate of Fonda- Fultonville High School.  She worked for several local companies including Scotia Sand and Stone and Christmas Tree Shops. 

Joanne was a free spirit who loved horses, her dogs and all animals.  She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. 

She is survived by her siblings, Michael Francisco and his wife Jeanne and Laurie Palmatier and her husband Kevin; her adopted sister, Lorena Miller; and her nieces and nephews, Michael Kaczor, Corey Kaczor, Rachel Francisco, Hannah Francisco and Noah Francisco; as well as aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. 

Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Friday, July 1, 2022 from 5 until 7p.m. at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam.  Private burial will take place in St. John’s Cemetery.
