Obituary of Josue Iglesias Sr.

Josue Iglesias Sr; 81, of Amsterdam passed away on May 24, 2022 with his loving family by his side at St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany. Born on April 8, 1941 in Luquillo, Puerto Rico Josue is the son of the late Modesto and Paula Jimenez Iglesias. 

Survived by his loving wife Carmen Soto of Amsterdam, and his children Diana, Junior, Josue Jr; Hedi, Lisa, Yvonne, Jenny, and Alexander. He is also blessed with 18 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.

Josue moved to Amsterdam in 1987, where he quickly got to know and love many folks in the community. He enjoyed growing vegetables in his garden. He was a great mechanic, and always enjoyed working on cars in his spare time. Josue had nothing but unconditional love for everyone he knew, and he will truly be missed by all.  

Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, NY 12010 on Saturday May 28, 2022 from 10 am to 12 noon.
