Obituary of Susanne May Young

Susanne May Young, née Coppernoll, 72, passed away on Monday, May 16, 2022 at her home where she wanted to be as she battled a chronic illness.

She was born on December 1, 1949 to Mr. Floyd Coppernoll and Mrs. Gladys Coppernoll, the oldest of 13 children. Susanne grew up in Canajoharie before she and her family relocated to Pleasant Brook, NY.

Susanne attended local schools graduating from Cherry Valley High School. On August 29, 1970 Miss Susanne Coppernoll was united in marriage to Mr. James Young. Together they moved back to Canajoharie to raise their children. In her spare time Susanne enjoyed bowling, bingo, playing poker, and dancing. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her two grandchildren, they brightened her world.

She is survived by her loving husband, James Young Sr., son James Young Jr., daughter and son-in-law Jamilynne and Jason, granddaughter Madison and grandson Ethan. Her siblings include; Marlyn, Michael, Timothy, Philip, Abbey, and Glenda. She also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents as well as her siblings; David, Tom, Paulette, Jody, Jamie, and Mark.

A graveside service for Susanne will take place on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at 10:00AM at Prospect Hill Cemetery in Canajoharie.
