Obituary of Joann Bartone

Joann “Nicosia” Bartone 72, of McQueen Road, passed away peacefully Sunday afternoon at home with family at her side.

Born in Gloversville, NY on July 27, 1949, the daughter of the late Salvatore and Doris Nicosia. She was sibling to 2 brothers and 5 sisters in which she has created and shared life long memories with.

Joann enjoyed preparing taxes for the local community for over 35 years and had grown to know and become friends with many of her patrons. She had many hobbies including a passion for collecting Vintage clothing and classic items.

Her loving family includes her late husband Anthony Bartone; her sons, Jeffrey Bartone and wife Shevy of Queensbury, Scott Bartone of Amsterdam and Jonathan Bartone of Amsterdam.

She was loving grandmother to three grandchildren, Allison, Andrew and Mason Bartone and always looked forward to her time with them.  Nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Graveside Committal Services will be held on Friday May 6, 2022 at 2:00 PM at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Cemetery Rd., Amsterdam with the Very Rev. O. Robert DeMartinis V.F. presiding.  Calling hours are private.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam, NY 12010.
