I can’t tell you how many antics Valerie had put me up to, but I can tell you: we used to compete with who’s hair would get blonder with “Sun’n Hair Spray”-spray it in, sit in the sun with aluminum foil under our chin the get a sun tan and as her hair got blonder, mine turned orange. But I somehow unknowingly got her back when we we’re about 18 years old and she asked me to highlight her hair using a dye cap where you pull stands through. It hurt so much I took it off and told her no worries as it will make your current highlights lighten differently, but boy was I wrong, I guess I actually created the new white head of hair back in the 80’s. I was laughing so hard, that no matter how upset she was, she couldn’t stop laughing either . And Valerie’s laugh is even more contagious, I couldn’t stop. I just wish I saved that Kodak moment. I could go on over the years of memories and laughter but I will leave that when we all get together again. Thank you God for removing Valerie’s pain by taking her into your arms and pray you continue to make her smile and laugh.
