Sorry this is a bit late, but I just found out about John’s passing today (April 3) I worked with John for almost 14 years at KAPL. I will always have fond memories of John’s intellect and wit!
John was proud of his time serving in the Navy, and also enjoyed his time spent at the Y. Family and his heritage were also important to him. He was proud of his Italian heritage, and well as his family, especially his wife, along with his two daughters and their achievements.
I will forever remember our sometimes spirited conversations we had about different current events or politics during the time we worked together.
Finally, a few years after leaving KAPL, a crucial recommendation was needed to obtain employment with a new company. I reached out to John and he immediately wrote a wonderful endorsement.
My condolences to you, his family.

To John's family,
Please accept our sincerest condolences. John became a friend when I met up with him at the then YMCA in Hagaman. We were often there at similar times. We always had good conversations during work out times and as it turned out we knew some of the same people from the old east end of Amsterdam where my mom was raised. When the Y closed I still saw him at times at Alpin Haus Fitness, but it was the "Y" that brought us together. These friendships were meaningful!
Sincerely,
Joe & Lucille Inglese
