Obituary of Donna E. Brown

Mrs. Donna E. Brown, 84, died February 24, 2022 at Palatine Nursing Home, Palatine Bridge.

 

She was born April 15, 1937 in Gloversville, New York, the daughter of Donald and Rosie (Frye) Lyons. She graduated from Catholic Central High School,Class of 1955, and after school married Joseph Gunnison in August of 1955. She was a homemaker and had 5 daughters with her first husband. She then went on to work for the Diana Knitting Mill before her marriage to her second husband Evan Brown in January of 1971. With whom she had 2 more children.

 

She was a longtime resident of Washington State where in her spare time she enjoyed knitting and crocheting, and especially loved making afghans for her loved ones. She was an avid reader and also enjoyed spending time with her cats and her flowers.

 

Donna is survived by her children,Lisa Brooker, Joanne (Bruce) Gunnison-Myers, Connie (Tirso) Alcantara, Donna (Tim) Fry, Diane (James) Gunnison, Evan Brown, Beverly (Dan) Jensen. Several stepchildren and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

 

She was predeceased by her parents, Donald and Rosie and both Joseph Gunnison and Evan Brown.

 

Services and interment for Donna will take place privately at her family's convenience.
