Obituary of Lila Agosta
After a full and blessed life of over 90 years, Lila Agosta passed away peacefully on Monday, February 14, 2022. Born in Broadalbin on May 12, 1931 she is the daughter of the late Frank and Agnes (Marchoch) Adamkoski.
Survived by her loving children Anne Marie (Joseph) Murdico of Amsterdam, Elizabeth Traskos of Amsterdam, Frank (Shirley Ann) Agosta of Schenectady, and Gabrielle (Anthony) Marotta of Amsterdam. Her loving grandchildren Melissa Lopez, Gabriella Weaver, Kevin Traskos, Anne Marie Perez, Chloe Agosta, Elizabeth Marotta, Danielle Homs, and Frank Agosta. Also survived by ten great grandchildren, and by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Besides her parents Lila is predeceased by her son Carmen Agosta, and her brothers Benjamin, Walter, John, Victor, Matthew, Frank, and by her sister Sophie.
During her lifetime Lila was a 1948 graduate of Amsterdam High School, and after schooling went to work as a hairdresser until her children were born and she then was a stay at home mother. After her children graduated, Lila went back to work as a seamstress for Luries in Amsterdam. Lila also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Lila’s last year at Wilkinson she made many friends especially Veronica and Mary Ann, and all the aids that took great care of her. Everyone at Wilkinson will miss Lila’s daily jokes.
A Celebration of Life Service will take place at a later date and will be announced.
