Obituary of Charlotte S. Conyne

Charlotte Perham Conyne, 73, of Mayfield, passed away Sunday, January 30, 2022 at Mountain Valley Hospice House, Gloversville, after a long battle with cancer.

She was born May 14, 1948 in Gloversville, to Sanford Perham and Cecilia Naish Perham. She graduated from Mayfield Central School and also worked for Mayfield School for many years. She was a member of TOPS of Mayfield, Fulton County Democratic Club, Moose Club and Mayfield Central Presbyterian Church.

Charlotte was married to William C. Conyne Jr. on August 5, 1967. He died February 22, 2013. They spent many years on their houseboat on Scout Island and the Great Sacandaga Lake. They also had a beautiful RV and enjoyed traveling.

She is survived by two sons, William C. Conyne III (Beverly Moeller) of Gloversville and Jamie Conyne (Merlinda) of Great Lakes Naval Base; a brother, Charles Perham (Laretta) of Tupper Lake; a sister-in-law, Jean Perham; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, Charlotte was predeceased by a brother, Clifford Perham.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a spring burial graveside service on Friday, May 13, 2022 at 11:00 am at the Mayfield Union Rural Cemetery, Mayfield, with the Rev. Bonnie Orth officiating.
