Elfreida Kucel

Obituary of Elfreida Kucel

Elfreida (Clark) Kucel, 80, was a beloved mother, grandma and great grandma. She gained her wings in the early hours of January 18th, 2022.

Born in Albany, NY on February 18, 1941, she was the daughter of the late, Charles and Elfreida (Bruse) Clark and was raised by the late, Ralph and Harriet Looman of Bleecker, NY.  She is also predeceased by her grandson, Alex Martuscello.

She was a member of the Cranberry Creek church. She enjoyed crocheting, singing, Days of our Lives and her precious dog Buddy. She loved to cook and she looked forward to having family dinners. And she always had the most beautiful garden every summer.

We will remember Frieda as a God fearing woman, her loving nature, her playfulness, her fearlessness and her occasional endearing stubbornness. She doted on her family and she was so proud of the family she created.  She never missed an opportunity to tell us how much she loved us and she had a profound, unwavering unconditional love for us. The impact she had on us will forever be with us in our hearts and our memories.

Survivors include her loving daughters, Patricia Kucel and Kimberly Martuscello; her grandchildren, Justine Martuscello (Ryan) and their daughter, Kendal, Bo Jackson, Lucas Martuscello and Dulce Martuscello.

Special thanks to the wonderful doctors and nurses at Nathan Littauer Hospital who took such great care of her.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday January 27, 2022 from 3-4pm at the Walrath and Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St. Gloversville, NY 12078.  A Memorial Service will follow at 4pm.
