Obituary of Peggy A. Ellis

      Peggy A. Ellis, 60, of Amsterdam, passed away Thursday January 13, 2022 at St. Mary’s Hospital following a long illness surrounded by her loving family.
      Born in Schenectady, NY on February 15, 1961, a daughter of the late Orrin W. and Marion Howard Cook.  She was raised in Rotterdam and attended school at Mohonasen.  
     Peggy enjoyed camping and being outdoors.  She especially enjoyed sitting by the fire, coloring, crocheting and most of all spending time with dear  family, children and grandchildren.  
    Peggy is survived by her life partner, Joe DiCaprio of Amsterdam.  Her loving children, Alisha Little of Rotterdam and Michele Ellis of Schenectady, NY.   Her dear sister, Dale Cook of Amsterdam and sister, Sheila Marcello also of Amsterdam and brother, Wayne Cook of Schenectady, NY.  Her cherished grandchildren, Brandyn, Aaron, Emmalee, Nina and Jr. ,  along with nieces, nephews and cousins.   Her pet cat “Cocoa Chanel” also survives.   She was predeceased by her brothers and sister,  Orrin, Allen, Michael and Diane.  
    A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday February 18th, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 9:00PM  at the South Schenectady FIre Department, 6 Old Mariaville Rd., Rotterdam, NY 12306.
