Obituary of Carolyn P. Gentile

Carolyn P. Gentile, age 94, of Gloversville, died Wednesday evening, December 29, 2021 at Nathan Littauer Hospital Nursing Home, Gloversville.

She was born January 2, 1927 in Gloversville, the daughter of the late Antimo and Anna Argenio Paciolla. She was a self-employed beautician for many years and was an officer in the family-owned Johnstown Plaza, Inc. She was a member of the Church of the Holy Spirit.

Carolyn is survived by many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of over 50 years, Carl P. Gentile; as well as all of her five siblings, Thomas Paciolla, Joseph Paciolla, Ralph Paciolla, Lucy Senzio and Gertrude Garwatowski.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 4 to 6 pm Monday, January 3, 2022 at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville. Facial masks are required.

A Mass of Christian Burial be celebrated 10 am Tuesday at the Church of the Holy Spirit, 151 S. Main St; Gloversville, with the Rev. Matthew Wetsel officiating. Facial masks are required.

Entombment will take place in the family mausoleum in the spring at Mount Carmel Cemetery, Johnstown.
