I first met Don about 5 years ago when I drove him to the Veterans hospital in Albany and knew immediately that he was a special person. Over the years we became what I would consider to be friends and I enjoyed our chats, he was a true gentleman. Each time we met I would call him General and he would in turn render a salute. I will miss seeing him on our rides to Albany I am sure that he is leaving a huge void in many lives. My sincere condolences to his family. Tom Carter.
