Obituary of Joseph L. DeRocco

Joseph L. DeRocco, age 75, of Gloversville, died Sunday, December 19, 2021 at The Grand at Guilderland, Altamont, NY.

He was born October 5, 1946 in Gloversville, the son of the late Angelo and Grace Corrado De Rocco. He served in the US Army and was later employed as Director of Operations by Coleco Industries, Amsterdam NY for 22 years. He relocated to North Carolina where he was Senior Planner at Coty Industries of Sanford, NC for 21 years. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren and his dog, Bella.

Joe is survived by two children, Jason and spouse Shana DeRocco of Rotterdam and Susan DeRocco of Colonie; three grandchildren, Gianna, Sophia and Christopher DeRocco.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife of 50 years, Janet M. Born DeRocco.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 10:00 to 11:30am Thursday, December 23rd at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St, Gloversville, where a Memorial Service will follow at 11:30am with the Rev. Matthew Wetsel officiating. Facial masks are required.

Interment will take place in the spring at Mount Carmel Cemetery, Johnstown.
