Obituary of Ana Luisa Rivera

Ana Luisa Rivera, 82, of Amsterdam, New York, passed away peacefully on December 16, 2021 in her home. She was born on February 27, 1939 in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico to the late Hipolito and Epifania (Montes) Cuebas.

In 1954 Ana was united in marriage to Juan Rivera. The couple shared 55 years together, until his passing in 2009. Aside from her parents, Ana was also preceded in passing by her two children, Wilfredo Rivera and Frances Rivera.

Ana will be remembered for her kind and loving nature. She was known as a wonderful wife, and a loving mother who was always there for her children. She was also known to her family and friends as a fantastic cook.

Her loving family includes her children, Hector Rivera, Nelson Rivera, Nancy Rivera, Julio Rivera, and Jimmy Rivera. Ana is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at 12:00PM at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam, with interment to follow in Fairview Cemetery.
