Obituary of Peter Fiorello, Jr.

Peter Fiorello, Jr; age 79, of Gloversville, passed away after a short illness Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at St. Mary's Hospital, Amsterdam surrounded by family.  

An avid hunter and fisherman, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.  He was born February 13, 1942 in Gloversville, the son of the late Peter Sr. and Filimena "Phyllis" (Ricciardi) Fiorello. He was employed as a plumber and pipefitter by the UA & Local Union for over 50 years. He was an active  member of the Concordia Club, Pine Tree Rifle Club, Newcomb Sportsman Club and attended the Baptist Church of Northville.  In his younger years he enjoyed boating, boat racing, water skiing and down hill skiing along with many other outdoor sports.   

Peter is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Sharon L. (Gordon) Fiorello; two children, Jodie Ann Fitzgerald (Keith) of Charlton, NY and Peter Fiorello III (Bethany) of Strasburg, PA; six grandchildren, Cameron, Jonathan, Sydney, Sophia, Peter David and Hope; a sister, Janice Wisniewski (Jan); as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Robert Fiorello.

Due to the current pandemic, a private family visitation will take place at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, Gloversville. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service on Friday, June 17th at Mayfield Cemetery at 1:00 pm under the direction of Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, Gloversville.
