Obituary of Walter Rouse Sr.

Walter O. Rouse Sr., 70, passed away Thursday, December 9, 2021 at Little Falls Hospital in Little Falls, New York. He was born on July 10, 1951 in Fort Plain, New York to Gerald Rouse and Jean VanNort Rouse.

A lifelong area resident, Walter worked as a Carpenter and was also employed by BeechNut.

He is survived by his sons; Walter (Kristie) Rouse of Sharon Springs, Jamie (Robin) Rouse of Cherry Valley and Jerry (Sara) Rouse of Cherry Valley, daughter Brook Rouse of Florida as well as his brothers Jerry, Randy, and Barry (Mary Lynn) Rouse, sisters; Sherry (Larry) Parks and Robin (Sean) Wilson. He also leaves behind several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Walter enjoyed watching sports and loved being outdoors, especially to go fishing or hunting. He had a great sense of humor and will be missed by his family and friends.

Calling hours will take place on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 from 4:00PM to 7:00PM at Lenz and Betz Funeral Home, 69 Otsego St Canajoharie, NY 13317.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St Johnsville Nursing Home.
