Obituary of Carole A. Crane
Carole A. Crane, age 79, of Gloversville, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her family on Tuesday morning, December 7, 2021.
She was born January 21, 1942 in Hobart, NY, the daughter of the late Edward and Effie Kiewlicz. A former resident of Shaftsbury, Vermont, Carole and her husband, Richard, have resided in Gloversville for the past 22 years.
A devoted member of the Church of the Holy Spirit, Carole was a Perpetual Eucharistic Adorer, a member of it's Homebound Ministry and it's Sisters of the Holy Spirit. She was a volunteer with Fulton County Meals on Wheels and The Gloversville Salvation Army. Her primary purpose in life was her devotion to God and her family. She enjoyed planning and cooking meals, family reunions and gatherings. She was very invested in her children and grandchildren's lives, always interested in their goals and pursuits. Carole also cherished her lifelong relationship with Olivia Blanchard.
Carole is survived by her husband of 62 years, Richard J. Crane; two children, Raymond Crane (Amanda) and Frances LeFever (Mark); five grandchildren, Taylor Crane, Tyler Crane (Kiana Gates), Christopher LeFever (Terri Anne) and Katherine "Katie" LeFever (Jarred Antonucci), Asa Burrows-Crane; a great-grandson, Weston Crane; a brother, John Kiewlicz; a sister, Edna "Sandy" Kiewlicz.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Billy Kiewlicz.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 10 to 11 am Wednesday, December 15th at the Church of the Holy Spirit, 151 S. Main St; Gloversville, where a Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 am with the Rev. Donald Czelusniak officiating. Facial masks are requested by the family.
Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to Mountain Valley Hospice, 108 Steele Avenue, Gloversville, NY 12078.
