I am so sad that I will not get to see my cousin again. David was a good man, loving husband and father, and just always seemed to have such a kind spirit about him. I loved his laugh and am truly sorry I will not hear it again. This photo is one of his earliest appearances at the famous family gatherings ... he is the adorable youngster in his Dad's arms left of center in the picture. Those Yates certainly make beautiful babies! I believe the only ones still here to see themselves in this photo are Bob Smith, Bob Jeffers, Don Jeffers, Alan Yates and Gerald Thompson. A dozen more cousins were yet to be born, and Great Grandma Jeffers (Matriarch in center) bounced all but two on her ankle. Sending prayers to my NY family. Peggy Smith Abt
