Obituary of Beth Fassett

Mrs. Beth Fassett, 72, of Fassett Road, East Springfield, NY died peacefully at home on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 surrounded by her family.  She was born February 28, 1949 to Mr. Herbert Jones and Mrs. Barbara Jones.

She was united in marriage to Mr. Loren J. Fassett on August 27, 1966.

A lifelong area resident, Beth attended Canajoharie High School and later went on to earn her GED in 2004. She worked for several local organizations, most notably as the bookkeeper for the family business; Fassett's Machinery Inc.  in East Springfield.

Beth enjoyed gardening, sewing, crochet, bead and jewelry weaving. She was a creator and a "doer." She enjoyed woodworking, painting, a good campfire, and her little dog too (Chloe.) Beth's greatest joy was spending time with her children.

Beth was preceded in death by her husband, Loren J. Fassett who passed away on June 13, 2021, and her brother David H. Jones in 2006. 

She is survived by her three children; Terry G. Fassett and his wife Jodi of Silverdale, WA, Mary A. Barth and her husband Bernhard of Commerce Township, MI and Scott A. Fassett and his wife Andrea of Ames, NY; three grandchildren, Jada, Jordan and Quincey; her sisters, Karen A. Cromie (James) of Mesa, Arizona, Diane L. Jones (Nick) of Tarrytown, New York, Robin K. Saltsman (David) of Canajoharie, New York; and sister-in-Law, Josephine Jones of Fonda, New York; her brothers, Dr. Daniel R. Jones of Eloy, Arizona, and Clark C. Jones of Moundsville, West Virginia; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, November 15, 2021 from 4:00PM to 7:00PM at Lenz & Betz Funeral Home, 69 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY 13317.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory to St Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
