She was born on August 6, 1938, the daughter of Edwin and Bertha Gamble. She was married on November 29th, 1958, and they had 63 years exciting and interesting years. Enjoying traveling, camping, cookouts in the back yard, and most of all the challenge of raising five kids.
She worked at various occupations, then decided her place was at the home raising the children. She loved collecting recipes and various cookbooks, even though she preferred her own and the ones that were handed down. Hollace was a very creative person. She enjoyed many crafts that she made for her home and children, such as, knitting, ceramics, fabric printing, macramé, and quilt making. We need to say she loved her pets and made sure they were part of the family.
She was a fifty year veteran of the Eastern Star, also the Women of the Moose. While at the Johnstown Chapter, she enjoyed her year as Senior Regent. She also achieved her goal of being a graduate of the College of Regent.
She is survived by her husband Perle, they treasured their 63 years together; her children, Peter, Russ, Bryan, and Deborah Stearns; her Sister-in-Laws who were much like her sisters to her, Jeannette Miller, Myrtle Dermott, Holly Ratlliffe, and Julia Miranda. She also much enjoyed the company of her 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
