Obituary of Susanne Manclow

Mrs. Susanne Manclow, 80, of Fort Plain, NY died peacefully into the arms of her Lord on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 surrounded by her family.  Born in Mineola, New York she was the daughter of the late Henry and Catherine Burkhardt.

 

Sue was an accomplished business woman.  She was employed by Harvey Triumpho Insurance until her retirement.   She was a member of the American Business Woman’s Association, a founding member of the Friends of Fort Plain, board member of the Fort Plain Library and a community volunteer dedicated to making Fort Plain a better place.  Sue was also an avid gardener and enjoyed long walks with her friends.  She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. 

 

She was predeceased by her son, Rich Bower.

 

Survivors include her husband of 38 years, A. David Manclow; her children, Susanne Ketring and her husband Richard, Michael Bower and his wife Marge, Jason Manclow and his wife Rasa; two grandchildren, Christopher Bower and Matthew Ketring; one sister, Sally Martucci and her husband Robert; her beloved cats, Cheesecake and Cupcake; several nieces, nephews and many friends.

 

A celebration of life will take place at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Sue’s memory may be made to Friends of Fort Plain or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. www.stjude.org
