Obituary of Bonnie Soto
Bonnie “Bonzo” Soto went to be with the Lord on October 18, 2021. She was born on October 8, 1957, to Mr. Charles Savoie and Mrs. Lucile Czech Savoie. She attended Perth High School.
Bonnie had a great love for the New York Yankees, the Washington Redskins, animals, cooking, and music. Some of her favorite artists were Journey, the Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, Adam Levine, Aerosmith, and Janis Joplin. She also enjoyed watching Christmas movies but her favorite pastime was spending time with her loved ones. She was extremely proud to be Native American. She had a strong sense of faith in God and prayed for her loved ones daily.
Bonnie was a natural caregiver and worked at several local nursing facilities. She was a mother figure to everyone that entered her home and she never turned anybody away. Bonnie had a huge heart and always offered good advice, lots of love, and home cooked meals. She had a generous spirit and was loved by all, including those who referred to her as “Bon”, “Ma”, and “Mommy Bon Bon”. The world was a better place with her here.
Bonnie was predeceased by her loving grandparents, Joe and Goldie Czech, her parents Chuck and Lucy Savoie, her son Jason, and her loyal companion and fur baby Ladybug. Three days after she passed away, her former husband, Teodoro Soto joined her in Heaven.
Bonnie is survived by her daughter Tabitha Savoie, sons Jon (Amanda) Soto and Ariel Ovalle, and her greatest blessings, her grandsons Kameron, Darious, and Julian. She is also survived by her siblings Alyce Savoie, Charles (Andrea) Savoie, Tammy Savoie, Jon Savoie, and Donald (Jeri) Savoie. She will forever be remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, including step-children/grandchildren, and friends.
A service of remembrance will take place on Tuesday, November 2, 2021, at 6 PM at Betz, Rossi and Bellinger Funeral Home 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam, NY.
