Obituary of Joanne Baker

Joanne Baker, age 65, of Gloversville, passed away Saturday, October 23, 2021 at her home.

She was born March 10, 1956 in Gloversville, the daughter of the late William and Alice Getner Baker. She was a graduate of FMCC and was later employed as a Home Health Aide by Quality Care of Johnstown. Joanne worked for Dexter Medical Transportation of Johnstown.  She was a caring person who touched the lives of those she took care of. She enjoyed cooking, swimming  and loved her grandsons.

Joanne is survived by her daughter, Rachel L. Briggs and husband Raymond Briggs Jr. of Gloversville, as well as her two grandsons, Brandon Briggs and Jared Briggs.

A private viewing was held at the convenience of the family Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, Gloversville. Cremation will follow at Parkview Cemetery Crematorium, Schenectady.

Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
