For ten years (1996-2006), I lived in the Pine Hills area of Albany, received its Newsletter, and corresponded with Henry; I met him a few times, chatted at his Western Avenue residence, and shared concerns about the 'trashing' of the neighborhoods. To this day, I still occasionally visit Pine Hills, picking up more loose litter in memory of Henry and in honor of the fortunately very many also civic-minded citizens. Thank you, Henry, for improving the quality of life in that very populated part of Albany, and for your dedication, time, energy, and volunteerism! May your good deeds live on and on and on...

I have many fond childhood memories from when we were growing up, our friends, and going to school together. Even at a young age, Henry was very strong willed, self-determined, and a go-getter. I am most happy to know that he went on in his life to fulfill his many dreams, with a very successful political career, as well as an organizer and motivator, Many of his accomplishments, will linger on for many years to come in his memory. He will be greatly missed, and my most heartfelt condolences to his family and friends. May God be waiting to greet you on the other side.

Henry and I were classmates and friends through Junior and Senior High. He was a special person with a 100% commitment to every task he undertook. Although our paths in life took us in different geographical directions and we lost personal contact, I remember him well and am saddened to hear he has left us. My condolences to the family on the loss of this special man.
