Obituary of Kenneth T. Braginton, Jr.
Kenneth T. Braginton Jr., 53, passed on Thursday, September 30, 2021 due to complications of Covid-19, with his family by his side. Born on February 10, 1968 in Brooklyn, NY he was the son of Dolores Sauer Braginton and the late Kenneth T. Braginton Sr. Ken grew up in Dutchess County where he graduated in 1986 from Arlington High School and in 1987 from Lincoln Technical Institute but found his passion for driving big rigs in 2002.
On Valentine’s Day, February 14, 1994 he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Margaret- Leslie Martin. Together through better and worse for 27 years, they looked for a place to call home, settling in Gloversville in 2016 to put roots down and raise the family that was started in 1994. Remaining dedicated to his eight children and his wife while working as a truck driver, his calling but mostly his passion. He was employed with SLA Transport Inc. at the time of his passing. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him, especially his family.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret- Leslie; his mother Dolores; his eight children, Danielle Marie (Mark), Devin James (Samantha), Damian Michael, Christian Thomas (Keri), Craig Eric McKenzie, Caidence- Ann Grace (Jarrid), Bailee- Elaine Rose, Blaine- Alexander Denton; seven grandchildren, Landon, Miles, Noah, Darren, Lily, Ceara- Leigh, and Avianna; his siblings, Regina Velsor and Christopher M. Braginton (Nicole); one niece, Kimberly; two nephews, Brian and Casey; many friends and his SLA Transport Family.
He was predeceased by his father and nephew, Tyler.
