Obituary of Eugenio Ortiz Borrero

Mr. Eugenio Ortiz Borrero, 86, of Mathias Avenue, died peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, September 19, 2021.  Born in Ponce, Puerto Rico on November 15, 1934 he was the son of the late Juan Ortiz and Maria Magdalena Borrero.

Eugenio lived in Puerto Rico most of his life.  He was a dedicated hard worker who always provided for his family.  He loved being a Taxi Driver in Ponce.  He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Aida in 1997.

Survivors include his nine children, Eugenio Jr., Luz, Maria M. Maria J. Israel, Ricardo, Marisol, Jesus and Haydee; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.

A Service of Remembrance will take place on Friday, September 24, 2021 at 11a.m. at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam. Masks are required.  Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
