Obituary of Richard N. Pierce, Sr.

Richard N. Pierce, Sr., 68, formerly of Johnstown, NY died peacefully on Friday, September 3, 2021.  Born in Cobleskill, NY on March 20, 1953 he was the son of the late Nelson and Mildred Pierce. 

A lifelong area resident, he attended local schools and was employed at Key Mark in Fonda, NY for many years until his retirement.  His greatest joy was spending time with his family, and he will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Richard was predeceased by his wife, Helen C. Pierce on August 13, 2018.

He is survived by his children, Bobbie Jo (Ken) Merchant of Greenfield Center, a son Albert and Fiancé (Tammy Greenough) Hunt of Gloversville, Jeanette (Vincent) Oare of Gloversville, and Richard (Melissa) Pierce Jr. of Tennessee; one sister, Cathy and her husband; his grandchildren Robert, Katelyn, John, Nadia, Kai, Kayla, Victoria, Emmy, Nicole, Emmilee, Tori, Austin, Alison, Brittany, Gavin, and Maci; four great grandchildren, and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday, September 9, 2021 from 4 until 6p.m. at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam.
