Obituary of Mildred E. Devenpeck

Mildred E. "Millie" Devenpeck, 100, of Fultonville, NY passed away Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at Capstone Center for Rehabilitation & Nursing in Amsterdam, NY. She was born on April 9, 1921 to Mr. Albert Peeler and Mrs. Maude Briggs Peeler of Fultonville.

Millie was a lifelong area resident and attended Fultonville Schools. She was united in marriage to Mr. Keith Devenpeck on August 31, 1940 and was employed as a Nurse’s Aide by Amsterdam City Hospital in the 1950s. She was a communicant of Fonda-Fultonville United Methodist Church and former Treasurer and Trustee Emeritus of the United Methodist Women, and it’s Administrative Board.

She will be remembered as a caregiver. Helping others was her life’s passion.

Millie was preceded in death by her parents Albert and Maude, as well as her beloved husband of 60 years, Keith and siblings; Richard Peeler, Frank Peeler, Donald Peeler, Lottie Fonda, and Lillian Miller.

She is survived by her brother Robert E. Peeler of Fonda as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Graveside Service will take place on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at 2:00PM at Maple Avenue Cemetery in Fultonville, NY.
