Obituary of Donald J. Cruthers
Donald J. Cruthers, age 86, of Gloversville, died Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at Fulton Center, Gloversville.
He was born February 22, 1935 in Gloversville, the son of the late Charles and Irma Miller Cruthers. He served in the US Air Force in the Korean War and was later employed by Cayadutta Tanning and Townsend Leather. He loved spending time with his family and friends, bowling and watching football with his dog Luna on his lap.
Don is survived by his wife, Geraldine M. Wilson Cruthers; five children, Rhonda Wilder (Shawn), Steven Cruthers (Joan), Stacy Snell, Donald Cruthers II and Kristen Keane (Scott); eight grandchildren, Ciji Samrov (Jay), Marissa Keane, Landen Keane, Ashley Cruthers (Kasey), Summer VanNostrand (Roy), Sahara Ellithorpe (Brodie), Steven Cruthers II and Amber Handy (Dave); six great-grandchildren, JJ Samrov, Edna Mae Krutz, Bentley Krutz, Meadow Ellithorpe, SJ Cruthers and Scarlett Handy; as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a son, Randy Snell and his sisters, Betty Kenney, Dawn Schrader and Shirley Willis.
A Celebration of Life for Don will take place at a later date.
