Obituary of Steven M. La Mere

Steven M. La Mere, 51, of S. Pawling St; Hagaman, passed away Monday, August 2, 2021 at the Albany Medical Center after a long and difficult illness. We would like to thank the entire Trauma Service for the excellent and compassionate care provided to Steven throughout his care.

He was born in Hudson, NY on December 31, 1969, a son of the late Ken and Betty (Tripp) La Mere and was a graduate of Amsterdam High School and Utica College. He was a long-time employee of Davis Vision working in the IT/Claims department.

Steven was a quiet private man who loved his family, friends, sports, especially the NY Yankees, Pepsi and a good pepperoni pizza.

Survivors include brother Neil La Mere (Thelma), sister Lori Walker (George), sister Debbie La Mere; nieces and nephews Bradley La Mere (Andrea), Bryce Walker, Kelsey Walker, Blake Walker, Shanna Robinson and Trevor Robinson; best friend Bryan Comolli and several aunts. 

The family will receive relatives and friends from 2 to 3pm Friday August 6 at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville, where a Prayer Service will follow at 3 pm with the Rev. Matthew Wetsel officiating.

Interment for family will take place Monday at St. Mary's Cemetery, Fort Edward, NY.
