Obituary of Dianne M. Gray, R.N.

Mrs. Dianne M. Gray, R.N., 65, of Academy Street, Amsterdam, NY passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, May 28, 2021 at St. Mary’s Hospital.  Born on January 12, 1956 in Albany, NY she was the daughter of Genevieve Giroux LaValley and the late Frederick P. LaValley, Jr.

A lifelong area resident, Dianne was a 1974 graduate of Shaker High School.  She went on to attend Ashland College and later Fulton Montgomery Community College where she obtained her Nursing degree in 1993.  Dianne was employed as a Registered Nurse at Ellis Hospital for 25 years until her retirement.  She enjoyed spending time with her family, and will be missed by all who loved her.

Survivors include her mother, Genevieve LaValley; her three children, Jennifer Willmann and her husband Anthony, Kevin Gray, and Danielle Jasewicz and her husband Daniel; her four grandchildren, Arianna, Bradley, Brandon and Caiden; three sisters, Lauretta Viglianco and her husband Daniel, Simone Arnold and her husband Mark and Celine Forsythe; her former husband, Ronald Gray; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, June 4, 2021 at 10a.m. at Historic St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 156 East Main Street, Amsterdam, NY with the Rev. Jeffrey L’Arche M.S. as celebrant.  Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.  Relatives and friends are invited and may call Thursday, June 3, 2021 from 5 until 7p.m. at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home.  Masks are requried.
