Obituary of Fonda Lea Swank

Fonda Lea Swank, 71, passed away on May 28, 2021 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, NY.

She was born on February 8, 1950 in Amsterdam, the daughter of Bertelle and Herman Ward.

Fonda dedicated her entire life to her family. She loved spending time with Bill.

She is survived by her longtime companion William Green, three sons; Joseph Hardy of Amsterdam, Brian (Tracy) Reese of St. Johnsville, and Sherman (Mel) Swank of Amsterdam. Her siblings include Judy (John) Swartz of St Johnsville, and Shelley Ward of St Johnsville. She also leaves behind six grandchildren; Amanda, Jason, Samantha, Zachary, Brian, and Michael, great grandson Connor, as well as several nephews, and cousins.

Fonda was predeceased by her brother Jack Buccolo and her mother Bertelle Ward.

A Service of Remembrance will be held on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at 1:00PM at Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Funeral Home 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam, NY 12010. Friends and family are invited to calling hours prior to the service from 11:00AM to 1:00PM. Interment at Fairview Cemetery will take place immediately after the service.
