Obituary of Stephen P. Pac

Mr. Stephen (Steve) P. Pac, 65, a life-long Amsterdam resident, passed away on May 6, 2021. Born on June 21, 1955 to the late Raymond and Angeline (Dipofi) Pac, he was a graduate of Amsterdam High School.


On September 14, 1985, Steve was united in marriage to Deborah Burke. The pair have been inseparable for 35 years. Steve and Deborah greatly enjoyed road-trips, cruises, and spending as much time as possible at their camp in McConchie Campgrounds in Galway. 

Steve worked as a forklift operator for several Distribution Centers throughout his 40 year career, most recently working for Distribution Unlimited Inc. in the Rotterdam industrial Park.  

Steve’s loving family includes his devoted wife, Deborah Pac; his mother in-law, Mary Burke; his siblings in-law, Robert Burke Jr. and Nancy Burke; his niece and nephew, Jeremy Burke and Jenny Wagner; and second-cousins, Michael Peters and Kate Turnbull; as well as by many friends and extended family. 

Aside from his parents, Raymond and Angeline, Steve was preceded in death by his father in-law, Robert Burke Sr., and by his nephew, Robert Burke III.

Relatives and friends are invited, and may join the family in person on Thursday, May 13, 2021 from 4pm until 7pm at the Chapel of the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, New York. Masks and social distancing will be required.

A graveside service will be held at St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Steadwell Avenue in Amsterdam on Friday, May 14, 2021 at 12:30 in the afternoon, where Steve will be laid to rest with his parents.
