Obituary of Betty W. Trumbull
Mrs. Betty W. Trumbull, 90, of Canajoharie, NY died peacefully on Saturday, May 1, 2021 surrounded by her family at Bassett Medical Center. Born in Utica, New York on January 16, 1931 she was the daughter of the late Homer and Lillian Austin Davis, Sr.
On, November 12, 1950 she was united in marriage to Richard J. Trumbull. That union was blessed with 62 years until his passing on December 3, 2012. She was also predeceased by her son, Robert G. Trumbull; and her two brothers, Howard Davis and Homer “Bud” Davis Jr.
Betty along with her husband owned and operated a successful dairy farm in Fort Plain, NY for many years. She was also a cook at the Village Restaurant and the Elks Lodge in Fort Plain. Betty also enjoyed crocheting, knitting and sewing. Her greatest joy was her family, and she enjoyed spending time with them.
Survivors include her four children, Cheryl (Richard) D’ Arcangelis, Marie Hazzard, Edward (Pam) Trumbull, and James Trumbull; fourteen grandchildren, twenty eight great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Service of Remembrance will take place on Friday, May 7. 2021 at 10a.m. at the Lenz & Betz Funeral Home, 69 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY. Burial will follow in Rural Park Cemetery at Inghams Mills. Calling hours for relatives and friends will take place on Thursday, May 6, 2021 from 4 until 7p.m. at the funeral home. Capacity is limited and masks are required.
