Obituary of Ryle A. Davis, Sr.

Mr. Ryle A. Davis, Sr., age 65, of Gloversville, passed away suddenly on April 17, 2021 at his home.

 

He was born August 24, 1955 in Auburn, the son of the late Edmund and Agnes Davis. He was employed by Pan American Tanning for many years, along with Price Chopper and Century Linen. Ryle was an avid fan of professional wrestling; he also enjoyed reading, taking walks and visiting with friends and acquaintances. He enjoyed learning about local history and politics, and having conversations with friends and others about local historical events.  

 

Ryle is survived by his son, Ryle A. Davis Jr.; his daughter, Elsa M. Davis; his sister, Lucy E. Davis all of Gloversville; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.

 

In addition to both of his parents, Ryle was predeceased by his half-sister Elaine Hurd.

 

Keeping with his wishes, there will be no formal calling hours or funeral services at this time.

An outdoor celebration of life will take place at a later date to be announced.

Cremation took place at Park View Cemetery, Schenectady.
