Obituary of Carl David Sumner

Mr. Carl David Sumner, age 73, of Fort Plain, passed away on March 12, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born October 29, 1947 in Brattleboro, the son of the late Arthur Sumner Sr. and Ruth Brown. He was employed by several local farms in the area. He was a jack of all trades and enjoyed spending time with his family, the outdoors and listening to “The Oldies”.

Carl is survived by his children, Karl, Robyn, Angie, Joseph, Chevroline and Kente Sumner, along with several extended family members and friends.

In addtition to both of his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Don.

In accordance with Covid-19 precautions, services were held at the convenience of the family.

Interment will take place in the spring at Union Mills Cemetery, Broadalbin.

Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to his family or a charity of your choice in Carl’s name.
