Obituary of Sharon Oleksak
Mrs. Sharon Oleksak, age 54, of Fultonville, died March 12, 2021 at Albany Medical Center.
She was born March 3, 1967 in Galway, NY, the daughter of Richard and Joan Stangle. Sharon attended local school graduating from Galway High School in 1985. She worked for a number of years as a lunch aide at Fonda-Fultonville School before deciding to become a stay at home mom, dedicating her life to her husband and sons.
A true nature lover Sharon enjoyed spending time gardening, planting flowers, bird watching, and caring for her many pets. She believed in celebrating the little things in life and loved decorating for the holidays, listening to music, and dancing along. More than anything Sharon loved spending time with her family.
Sharon is survived by her husband of 28 years David Oleksak Sr., as well as her sons David Oleksak Jr. and Dylan Oleksak. She also leaves behind her sisters Susan (Richard) Sowle, Jill Newton, Lynn (Douglas) May, Julie Stangle and brother Richard Stangle Jr. as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was predeceased by her parents Richard and Joan.
A Service of Remembrance will take place on Friday, March 19, 2021 at 1:00PM at Jackson & Betz Funeral Home 15 Main St, Fultonville, NY 12072. Calling Hours will take place at Jackson & Betz Funeral Home on Friday, March 19, 2021 from 11:00AM to 1:00PM prior to the service. The number of visitors will be monitored, masks are required, and seating is limited to immediate family members. Social distancing practices are required as visitors are cycled through. Your patience is appreciated. Please remember the sick, elderly and those with compromised health should avoid public settings.
