Obituary of Anthony S. Ficili

Anthony S. Ficili, age 67, of Sharon Springs, formerly of Gloversville, passed away on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at Bassett Medical Center, Cooperstown.

He was born March 17, 1953 in Allentown, PA; the son of Florence Held Ficili and the late Salvatore "Sam" Ficili. He attended Gloversville High School and was later employed by Johnstown Knitting Mill and Twin City Leather. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed music. He was of Catholic faith.

Tony is survived by his mother, Florence M. Ficili of Gloversville; a sister, Cynthia Ficili (Laurie) of Johnstown; three nephews, Andrew, Richard and Joshua Ficili; a sister-in-law, Nancy Ficili; as well as cousins. In addition to his father, he was predeceased by his twin-brother, Richard J. Ficili.

For the safety of family and friends, a private visitation and Prayer Service will take place Tuesday at the convenience of the family at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, Gloversville, with the Rev. Matthew Wetsel officiating. 

Interment will take place in the spring at Mount Carmel Cemetery, Johnstown.
