Obituary of Edgar K. Lester Jr.

Edgar K. Lester Jr., 45, of Amsterdam, New York, passed away suddenly on Thursday, February 25, 2021 Alden, New York.  Born in Bristol, Connecticut on August 9, 1975 to Edgar K. Lester Sr. and Patricia Quill, he attended local schools and was a graduate of Amsterdam High School.   

Throughout his life Edgar greatly enjoyed playing Bingo, watching the Dallas Cowboys Football games, visiting the Great Escape, and especially being outdoors. Edgar loved to go camping, host cookouts and games of horseshoes, but one of his favorite pastimes was swimming; he loved everything to do with the water, and spent a lot of his time going swimming. 

Edgar loved his family, and spent all the time he could with them. Edgar’s loving family includes his mother, Patricia Quill; his sisters, Barbara Edgar, Stasi Shafer, Dawn Edgar, and Heather Newberry; his life-long best friend, Victor Quinones; his nieces and nephews, Elizabeth, Chad, Selena, Alaina, Katherine, John, Matthew, Mikayla, Gregory, and Jeremy; his great-niece and great-nephews, William, Christian, and Savannah; as well as his faithful canine companion, Phoebe. Edgar was predeceased by his Father, Edgar Sr. in 2007.
