Obituary of Sandra Lee Bruse
Sandra Lee Bruse, age 76, of Broadalbin, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 1, 2021 at St. Mary's Hospital, Amsterdam.
She was born November 16, 1944 in Amsterdam, the daughter of the late James Phillips and Charlotte Teller Snell. She was employed as a bus driver for the Broadalbin Perth School District for many years. She was an avid guitar player and enjoyed playing and singing country and bluegrass music with her family and friends.
Sandy was a member of St. Joseph's Church, the Broadalbin American Legion Auxiliary, the Broadalbin VFW Auxiliary and the Johnstown Women of the Moose.
She is survived by two children, Thomas J. Bruse and Jamie Bruse, both of Broadalbin; a brother, Ken Phillips of Portland, Oregon; several nieces and nephews.; as well as her trusted pet cat, Goldie.
Sandy was predeceased by her husband, Walter "Butch" Bruse in 2013; her brother and sisters, George "Skip" Phillips, Edna Sulem and Judith Rummler.
For the safety of family and friends, a private visitation and service will be held at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, Gloversville. Burial will take place in the Springtime.
