Obituary of Ramona W. Fosmire

Ramona W. Fosmire, age 72, of Gloversville passed away on Tuesday, January 26, 2021, at St. Mary’s Hospital surrounded by her loved ones.

She was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, mom and grandmother. A friend known for her sharp wit and humor, someone to rely on and be with you to the end. She loved baking, taking care of her dogs and most of all spending time with her family.

Ramona was born November 19th, 1948 to the late Richard and Ramona Kulwiec and was one of 9 children. She and her 4 brothers (Richard Kulwiec, Robert Kulwiec, Raymond Kulwiec, and Ronald Kulwiec (predeceased)) and 4 sisters (Rosemary Denmark, Rita Robinson, Roberta Fioretti, and Ruth Kulwiec) were raised in Johnstown, NY in a close knit Roman Catholic family. She would remain and raise her own family in the same area she grew up in.

Ramona graduated from St. Mary’s Hospital School of Nursing in 1969 as a Registered Nurse and continued her career working for both St. Mary’s and Nathan Littauer taking time off and on to raise her family of 9.

Ramona is survived by her children Richard (Amanda) Fosmire of Oneonta, NY; Daniel (Erica) Fosman of Fonda, NY; Keith (Alisa-Nikki) Fosmire of Manassas, VA; Christine Frank of Smyrna, DE; Robert Fosmire of Gloversville, NY; Thomas Fosmire of Gloversville, NY; Matthew Fosmire of Gloversville, NY, and 7 grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son Stephen Fosman.

Private visitation took place Thursday at the safety and convenience of the family at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, Gloversville.

Interment will take place in the spring at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Johnstown.
