I did not know Dennis, but as a former Navy man who served on board the USS JOHN F. KENNEDY CV-67, from 1975-77, but I wish I did. I'm sure we could have swapped sea stories. There's an old Navy saying used in situations such as this, "May you have Fair Winds and Following Seas." It simply means to have smooth sailing to your next destination.

I'm so very sorry to hear this news of Dennis's passing. He is in very good company now, but that doesn't make it easier to accept. It seems like just recently Dennis and Grandpa Andy Wilson where sitting busting chops in some fashion. RIP Dennis.

We will all miss Dennis so much. The first time I met Dennis was at Black Lake on a fishing trip in 1979 and have been friends with him ever since. I will certainly miss his friendly service as a Post 942 bartender and certainly appreciate all he has done for our community, the Post, and local Vets. We were both in the Navy at the same time and even though we never met in that life, we certainly enjoyed sharing sea stories while socializing at the Post. Anchors Away my friend! JB
