Obituary of Allen Gene Fox, Sr.

Mr. Allen Gene Fox, Sr., age 73, of Gloversville, passed away after a brief illness on Tuesday January 12, 2021 at Nathan Littauer Hospital, Gloversville.

 

He was born September 13, 1947 in Gloversville, the son of the late Charles Fox and Katherine Rorick. He was employed as Caretaker at Prospect Hill Cemetery in Gloversville.

On August 20, 1994, he married his wife of 24 years Susan Willis.

 

Allen is survived by his wife Susan Fox; his five children, Alfred Foster (Lisa), Martha Foster (Jeff), Raymond Fox, Allen Fox Jr. and Carol Vosburgh (Jeff); two stepchildren, Jessica Daniels (Matt) and Nick Gallup; a sister, Betty Conte; a sister in-law, Terri Horning (Lee); along with several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.

 

In addition to both of his parents, Allen was predeceased by his two brothers, Donald and Harold Fox and a granddaughter Ocean Marie Foster.

 

In keeping with his wishes, there will be no formal calling hours or funeral services at this time.

Cremation took place at Park View Cemetery, Schenectady.

 

Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to a charity of your choice in Allen’s name.
