Obituary of Edna Caruso

Mrs. Edna Caruso, age 81, of Ballston Spa, formerly of Gloversville, passed away from a long illness on Friday January 15, 2021 at Saratoga Hospital, Saratoga Springs.

 

She was born February 8, 1939 in Gloversville, the daughter of the late Frank and Chloe Cannizzo. She was employed for many years as a Billing Clerk at Nathan Littauer Hospital in Gloversville. Edna was a fan of cooking and enjoyed spending time with her family.

 

Edna is survived by her husband Anthony “Duke” Caruso; her two children, Stephen Caruso (Patricia) and Jeannine Toney (David); a sister, Dorothy Nelli (Peter); three grandchildren, Ryan and Anthony Caruso and Nicholas Toney; along with several nieces, nephews and extended family members.

 

In addition to both of her parents, Edna was predeceased by two sisters, Alma Christman and Carmella Armstrong and a brother, Croce (Bud) Cannizzo.

 

In accordance with Covid-19 regulations, there will be a private memorial mass for the family at The Church of the Holy Spirit Gloversville, at a time of their convenience.

Cremation took place a Parkview Cemetery Crematorium, Schenectady.

 

A graveside service will take place in the spring at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Gloversville followed by a family celebration of her life.
