Obituary of Clara M. Biscotti

Mrs. Clara M. Biscotti of Johnstown, passed away Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Wells Nursing Home, Johnstown.

 

She was born in Gloversville, the daughter of the late Frank and Rose Auricchio Vertucci. She was graduate of Gloversville High School Class of 1956 and later a graduate of Rochester Business Institute Class of 1957.  Clara was later employed as a Secretary at the NYS Dept. of Probation in Gloversville.

 

Clara was an avid movie watcher and enjoyed performing arts and adored children. She was a member of the Church of the Holy Spirit in Gloversville.

 

She is survived by her husband of 40 years, James W. Biscotti of Johnstown; two daughters, Cheryl Gifford (William) of Mayfield, NY and Gina Biscotti of New York City; two grandchildren, Cody Gifford and Molly Gifford of Mayfield, a brother, Domenic Vertucci (Debra) of Las Vegas, Nevada;  three nieces and a nephew, Britinie Vertucci Revell, Whitney Vertucci, Courtney Hicks and Frank Vertucci, all of Las Vegas.

 

In addition to her parents, Clara was predeceased by a son, Steven Van Brocklin, in 1999.

 

Due to the current Covid-19 Pandemic, private visitation and a Mass of Christian Burial will take place at the convenience of the family at the Church of the Holy Spirit, Gloversville.

 

Interment will take place in the spring at Mount Carmel Cemetery, Johnstown.

 

Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the Church of the Holy Spirit, 151 S. Main St; Gloversville, NY 12078.
