Obituary of Paul Raymond Kuss
Mr. Paul Raymond Kuss, age 78, of Gloversville, passed away after a brief illness with his family by his side on Friday January 8, 2021 at Nathan Littauer Hospital, Gloversville.
He was born October 26, 1942 in Gloversville, the son of the late Richard and Jacqueline Kuss. Paul proudly served his nation in the US Marines and was later employed as a Machinist for General Electric in Schenectady for many years. After Paul retired, he enjoyed traveling and vacationing which included a cross country road trip, many cruises, and day trips on his Can-am.
He was an avid hunter and enjoyed spending many seasons with his beloved hunting party. He was a proud member of the Concordia Club and the Pine Tree Rifle Club. Paul enjoyed spending time with his family vacationing, celebrating holidays, and many summer cookouts. Much time was spent in his beloved basement building many requested projects for his family and tinkering. Paul was a perfectionist and took great pride in his work, especially when doing projects on his house. His family will immensely miss hearing all of his life stories.
Paul is survived by his longtime companion Cheryl Eagle; his two daughters, Lisa Ann O’Donnell (Carmine) and Laura Hewitt; two granddaughters, Kayla Bramer (Steven) and Marisa Tomlinson (Michael); great granddaughter, Sophia O'Donnell; his brother, Richard Kuss (Cheryl); his sister, Charlene Chaffin (Don); a special niece and nephew, Michelle and David Mickels, along with several cousins and extended other family members.
In addition to both his parents, he was predeceased by his beloved wife Marilyn Kuss in 1997.
In accordance with Covid-19, services will be private to the family at their convenience.
Interment will take place in the spring at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Gloversville.
